The Farm is Your Classroom

Where young people grow, prepare, and share food, build community, and become leaders.

Lead with Purpose

Young people take on real responsibility, guiding volunteers and making decisions that shape the farm and community.

Learn by Doing

Every program offers hands-on experience in farming, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Give Back Locally

Participants grow fresh food that nourishes Austin families so everyone has access to the food they need.

From Curiosity to Leadership to Impact

  • 🚜 Elementary School

Kids plant, cook, measure, and explore through playful, hands-on activities on the farm and in the kitchen. Along the way, they strengthen academic and social skills while building confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

  • 🌿 Middle School

Middle schoolers get hands-on in our farms and kitchens, growing food, cooking, and learning alongside their peers. Through agriculture, culinary activities, and teamwork, they build practical skills, confidence, and stronger connections to food and community.

  • 🌱 High School

Teens plant, grow, and harvest alongside peers and mentors while learning about farming, food systems, and community action. Through hands-on experiences, they build leadership skills, confidence, and the tools to make a difference in their communities.

Feeding our neighbors together.

The fresh food you grow, harvest, and prepare is donated to local food pantries — or delivered directly to our neighbors front doors.

Leveling the Field

Our mission is farming to grow young minds and cultivate tomorrow’s leaders.

Our vision is a future of confident, conscious leaders, deeply connected to community, food and the land.

Too many young people lack access to the same opportunities as their more affluent peers and spend their out-of-school time isolated and disconnected from one another, the natural world, and where their food comes from. For working families, finding high-quality, affordable programs during those hours can also be a challenge. Our farms help close these gaps, providing a place where young people can learn, belong, build relationships, and grow as leaders, while families have a program they can count on to keep working and providing for their families
